Undertakers affiliated to the Unification Task Team, have embarked on a national shutdown for two days. The group hopes to have a meeting with Government later this week. 

Some of the concerns raised by funeral workers are about changes made to a variety of procedures and regulations, including some introduced in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. They say these changes make it hard for small, black-owned parlours to operate and gives big funeral homes an advantage.

The group wants a Covid-19 relief fund to help the industry cope with the pressure of the pandemic.
