Tazne Van Wyk never returned home on Friday 7 February after going to the shop a few steps away in Elsies River. It’s been 6 days in and the community stand with her parents in the search for their daughter.
It’s been reported that Tazne was last seen in Connaught Estate in Elsies River on Friday when she went missing. She was wearing a white top and red shorts and has a small scar on her left hand.
According to IOL Tazne may have been in a taxi with the alleged Kidnapper, 54-year-old Pangkaeker Moyhdian. The report says, “the person of interest, Moyhdian who is alleged to have been released from prison, was last seen in the area on Friday, the same day Tazne disappeared’’.
”She is not a people’s person, so it is very hard to believe that she was taken by a stranger,” Carmen Van Wyk, mother of Tazne, told IOL. She continued saying: “People said they saw him scouting the school Tazne attends for the past week and I am aware that he is said to have a previous conviction for similar offences’’. There is footage of him walking with her, but it shows that there was also a woman with them. Its believed that he was planning to leave for Durban.
According to EWN the family of the accused is pleading for her safe return.
Tazne’s parents have asked for her to be brought back home and have asked that anyone with information please come forward.
