Some Cape Town Libraries Allow Students Access to Study Areas and Internet Services

On Thursday Councillor Zahid Badroodien announced that from Monday 5 October the City of Cape Town’s Library and Information Service will allow for students to study at selected libraries and access the internet via the SmartCape system.

Study sessions will run for 2 hours with three sessions per day starting at 09:00-11:00, 11:15-13:15 and 13:30 to 15:30. The 15 minutes between sessions are to allow for the sanitisation of study areas. Access to the internet via the SmartCape system will be limited to 45 minutes per session, with 15 minutes in between each session. Both services will run on a first-come-first-serve basis.

A list of the libraries offering these services can be found here.
