On Saturday police in Knysna arrested six suspects believed to be involved in the kidnapping of a 20-year-old man.
Sergeant Christopher Spies says that according to a preliminary investigation, the victim’s father reported his son’s kidnapping after one of the suspects allegedly demanded R2000 for the release of his son.
Following further leads, the police inspected a house in Concordia where they found the victim with his hands tied behind his back. A further search led to the arrest of the six suspects.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Knysna Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 26 October.
