A young father of one, Carl “Kallie Sass” Louw from Scottsville, was reportedly murdered on his way to work in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to his mother, Cecelia Jordaan, the perpetrator tried to rob him and then stabbed him in the chest. Kallie was running towards his workplace when he collapsed in Stork Road, Brackenfell.
Kallie reportedly ran up to a security guard and simply said he wants to lie down and that’s when he collapsed.
“The man was not aware that he was attacked or stabbed. Kallie still had his earphones in his ears and all his personal belongings on him”, said Cecelia.
She said, “Kallie lived for his one-year-old daughter who is now fatherless due to this reckless act.”
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk confirmed that a case of murder is being investigated with no arrests yet.
The police statement reads, “Circumstances surrounding a stabbing incident on Wednesday at about 5:48 am in Stork Road, Okavango Park, Brackenfell where a man was stabbed and killed is under investigation.”
