Public hearings on land expropriation reach Western Cape

Cape Town – The Parliamentary Review Committee will be hosting public hearings into land expropriation around various locations around the Western Cape.
A potential review of section 25 of the Constitution on land expropriation will be the focus in these hearings. In addition, the hearings will discuss amendments to the Constitution.
The Western Cape will be the last leg of the public hearings, which have been taking place throughout the country.
Public hearings will take place in the following municipalities:

  • Central Karoo District

Venue: Beaufort West Recreational Hall

  • West Coast District

Date: 2 August 2018
Venue: Citrusdal Thusong Centre

  • Overberg District

Date: 3 August 2018
Venue: Swellendam Thusong Centre

  • City of Cape Town

Date: 4 August
Venue: Friends of God Church, Goodwood
All hearings will take place from 11:00 to 16:00
