Chairman of South Africa’s Premier Soccer League, Irvin Khoza, announced that the board of governors will meet at the end of April to discuss the league’s future.

Khoza said that the PSL’s decision will be made according to governmental guidelines. This is also the stance of the international governing body of football, FIFA.

While the board would like to complete the season this year, the chairman emphasised that their priority is helping the government in beating the current health crisis.

FIFA announced that leagues can be extended until the end of July.
