According to a statement released by the Presidency, President Cyril Ramaphosa will, on Sunday 29 March, see off 112 South African citizens who have been in quarantine since 14 March.
These 112 citizens have been at the Ranch Resort in Polokwane and have all tested negative for the COVID-19 virus at the end of their quarantine. They are finally set to be released and reunited with their families.
The group was placed under quarantine on 14 March, after they returned from Wuhan in the Hubei Province of China, following the outbreak of Coronavirus COVID-19.
According to the statement following this engagement, President Ramaphosa will return to Pretoria to chair a virtual meeting of the National Command Council that coordinates the national emergency response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
