On Wednesday, a Polokwane woman (38) and her alleged lover (27) were arrested in connection with her husband’s murder which occurred in April in their home in Seshego, reports News24.
The victim was 43-year-old Archibald Manaka, who was stabbed to death in what police initially thought was a robbery.
Police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said, “When police arrived at the scene, the deceased’s wife reported that three unknown suspects forcefully entered the house, attacked her husband and took an undisclosed amount of money, a laptop and fled the scene.”
The motive of the attack is yet to be determined, however, police suspect the reason could be linked to a domestic dispute.
The two suspects, along with a third suspect, were arrested in Namakgale, Phalaborwa and Moletjie, Seshego reports the publication.
The three suspects are facing a number of charges – conspiracy to commit murder, murder, perjury, defeating the ends of justice and contravention of Disaster Act.
They are expected to appear in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
