On 14 February 2020 a group of three suspects ambushed and shot Azwifaneli Mudau (37). Mudau was a businessman and the owner of Riyalivhuwa Electrical Engineering.
SAPS have reported that it was later revealed through further investigations that the murder was allegedly orchestrated by Mudau’s 34-year-old wife, Ntanganedzeni Winnie Nemaranzhe. Nemaranzhe was arrested on 18 December 2020.
Two of the suspects were arrested after they had robbed a Post Office at Masia and were subsequently linked to the murder of the businessman.
Nemaranzhe was arrested on 18 December 2020 and on 18 February 2021 appeared before the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court together with one of the three accomplices, Tshililo Madega.
Nemaranzhe and Madega will be joined by the other two accomplices, Dakalo Makhavhu and Tshivhanwaho Simon, as police investigations continue.
The three accomplices will face charges of business robbery as well.
