According to reports, a gunman disguised as a police officer killed more than 16 people in Canada on Saturday.
The 12-hour shooting rampage allegedly started late on Saturday and ended in a car chase.
Police reportedly said the suspect shot people at different locations in Nova Scotia, many of whom were shot randomly.
Reports state that the gunman was killed in a standoff with the police.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau described the attack as “a tragedy”.
“Violence of any kind has no place in Canada. We stand with you and we grieve with you,” he said, addressing the nation on Monday.
Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil allegedly told reporters this was “one of the most senseless acts of violence in our province’s history”.
Reports have described this as “the worst mass shooting in Canada’s modern history”.
