Following a continuous search after two brothers from Klapmuts went missing last month, police confirmed on Tuesday that they were found in Ravensmead and were with their grandmother.

Eight-year-old Brian Adriaanse and eleven-year-old Leshwin Adriaanse were last seen on Friday, 12 February at their home at 2292 Buttercup Street, New Houses, when their mother Lynice Adriaanse left for work.

“At the time of their disappearance Leshwin was seen dressed in a yellow tracksuit pants and a red t-shirt and Brian Adriaanse was dressed in a red t-shirt and shorts,” stated Captain FC Van Wyk in his initial report.

Brian and Leshwin were meant to meet their mother at the Shoprite in the area later that day but never showed up.

It is then that the children were reported missing.

SAPS released a statement earlier today to announce that the boys were found in Ravensmead last night and are safe.

“Wonderful news! Leshwin and Brian Adriaanse has been found safe. A big thank you to Stellenbosch FCS Unit and everyone that shared their flyer,” Missing Children South Africa expressed on their Facebook page.
