Cele and SAPS to patrol Cape Town beaches

Minster of Police, General Bheki Cele along with the South African Police Service (SAPS) management will be patrolling beaches in the Mother City today, says a statement made by the Office of the Minister of Police.

[Cele and SAPS will] embark on a day-long visit to various beaches in Cape Town in a bid to inspect operational deployments as well as assess adherence to lockdown regulations,” read the statement.

Below is the programme for the day:

  • Strand Beach – 6:00
  • Macassar Beach – 6:45
  • Monwabisi Beach – 7:15
  • Mnandi Beach – 9:00
  • Strandfontein – 9:45
  • Muizenberg – 10:45
  • Camps Bay – 13:00
  • Clifton – 13:30
  • Big Bay – 14:15

  1. why dont they go patrol in the cape flats or the townships!!! crime kills a hell of alot more people than corona!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
