Gill's husband charged with murder

Two weeks ago, Packham’s body was found in the boot of her burnt out car at Diep River train station.
CAPE TOWN – The husband of Gill Packham appeared in court for the alleged murder of his wife. Robert Packham was arrested on Thursday night at their home in Constantia.
Mrs Packham’s body was found in her burnt-out car two weeks ago. Blood was found on the driver’s side of the accused -Robert Packham’s- car which was parked in the garage. Forensic pathologists also found blood in the en-suite bathroom, according to the State’s evidence.
57 year old Gill Packham who worked at Springfield Girls Convent in Wynberg, failed to turn up for work on the 22nd of February. Her body was discovered by police later that day.
The case has been remanded to the 9th of March 2018.
