In a press release, the South African football club, Kaizer Chiefs announced that Gavin Hunt will take up the role of head coach for the next three seasons.

Amakhosi Chairman Kaizer Motaung says that they assessed the club’s needs and chose to appoint Hunt because of his experience including coaching five teams in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and clear success at each club he is part of. Hunt has previously coached at Seven Stars, Hellenic FC, Black Leopards, Moroka Swallows, SuperSport United and more recently, Bidvest Wits.

Hunt says that in terms of supporters and trophies, Chiefs have always been the biggest team in the country and plans to work on ending the lack of trophies won in the last few years.

Hunt will now focus on working with the team in preparation for the 2020/2021 season.
