Four suspects were arrested during the early hours of Friday morning after they were caught in possession of a hijacked vehicle, in Delft.
Members of the Cape Town K9 unit were busy conducting crime prevention patrols in Delft when their attention was drawn to a stationary white Land Rover Evoque in Hindle Road. Their investigation revealed that the vehicle had been hijacked in Wynberg earlier this month.
Two suspects were arrested on the scene, however, further investigation led the members to a residence in Delft where two more suspects were arrested. The vehicle used at the time of the crime, a Toyota Yaris was also confiscated, together with five cellular telephones.
The suspects aged between 23 and 34 are expected to make their court appearances in Blue Downs on Monday 13 July.
