On Friday 1 May, certain fast food outlets will be reopening as South Africa eases into Level 4 of the nationwide lockdown.
Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma announced during her national address on Wednesday, that level 4 allows for restaurants to reopen for delivery services only.
According to Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula, drive-thru services will not be allowed as this may cause congestion on the road, which is what needs to be avoided.
The following restaurants have confirmed they are reopening this Friday:
- Steers
- Debonairs Pizza
- Wimpy
- Fishaways
- Andiccio24
- RocoMamas
- Pizza Hut
- Domino’s Pizza
- Mochachos
- Zebro’s
- Simply Asia
- Anat
McDonald’s will reopen on Saturday, 2 May. Burger King, KFC, Chicken Licken and Nando’s are yet to confirm when they will be reopening.
