Ongoing wage negotiations between Eskom and unions has led to increased pressures on the power supply which could lead to load-shedding.
Following the decision by Eskom to retract bonus payments to their workers this year, workers have approached their unions to negotiate with Eskom.
Based on their financial position, Eskom says it is unable to pay out bonuses.
Eskom has not taken a clear stance on bonus disputes after nearly a month of negotiations.
Eskom claims that alleged intimidation at power stations has strained the power supply and is unable to guarantee that the supply will continue to run smoothly.
Information on load-shedding is available on municipal websites.
The power utility and unions are scheduled to meet on Friday to announce Eskom’s position on the wage disputes.
