On Thursday it was announced that MultiChoice’s DStv brand would become the title sponsor of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for the next five years, following the withdrawal of ABSA after nearly two decades.
According to the PSL chairperson Dr Irvin Khoza, this new partnership came naturally and its synergy will provide an enhanced experience to the deserving supporters.
“The DStv Premiership is the coming together of two brands that connect South Africans emotionally. Whether you are watching the best of local football or the best local entertainment, the passion for both is unmatched,” says MultiChoice Group CEO, Calvo Mawela.
The partnership promises more games will be televised than ever before and that it will allow the space for South Africans to call the competition their own.
