The Presidency has confirmed that President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation on live TV and radio broadcasters on Monday evening.

On Sunday evening, Minister Jackson Mthembu alerted the media that President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation on Monday.

The address, initially scheduled for Sunday evening, was postponed due to an on-going National Command Council meeting in which recommendations to the presidency were to be finalised.

Minister Mthembu said the president had very weighty matters to discuss with the National Command Council (NCC) about the socio-economic impact the Coronvirus has on poor and vulnerable people.
