Old Mutual announced that it has converted the MuPine Golf Club in Pinelands, Cape Town into a quarantine and isolation facility.
The former training ground and clubhouse will provide space for 300 beds. Old Mutual says the project costs an estimated R4 million and is part of the company’s R52 million commitment to assist in projects to manage the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
The provincial government says that it welcomes this donation as it will add to the facilities already in place and will help meet the demand when the peak of infections approaches.
